Dr. Hassamal is a board certified, fellowship trained psychiatrist with subspeciality training in addiction psychiatry, addiction medicine, and brain injury medicine. He pursued his residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VA) and subspeciality training at the University of California Los Angeles. During his tenure, Dr. Hassamal has pursued several research initiatives both as Principal Research Investigator and as Medical Advisor and has held several faculty positions in his field. In addition to being a prolific author of research publications in the field of psychiatry, Dr. Hassamal has also held key leadership positions in several healthcare start-ups. His research and clinical interests have focused on developing patient centric biopsychosocial integrated treatment care models.
